The saint for this month is an awesome guy named Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. He was born in Turin, Italy in 1901. He grew up in a wealthy family but had a heart for the poor. His father asked him if he would rather have a car or money for his graduation, he said money and then gave it to the poor. He lived his life to the full. He was an avid skier, mountain climber, theater enthusiast, and political activist. He had a deep love for the Lord and our Lady. He encouraged other young people to receive Holy Communion as often as possible. He died at the young age of 24 in 1925.

“I urge you with all the strength of my soul to approach the Eucharist Table as often as possible. Feed on this Bread of the Angels from which you will draw the strength to fight inner struggles.”

“You ask me whether I am in good spirits. How could I not be so? As long as Faith gives me strength I will always be joyful!”
